When Michael Werner Gallery decided to move into the former Leo Castelli Gallery on Manhattan’s Upper East Side, the exquisitely prepared main exhibition space required little more than a new lighting system. Yet in order to provide the gallery with a secondary showroom, a proper library and office space, storage, and a small kitchen and powder room, the remainder of this elegant gallery was completely renovated using an abundance of clear-stained walnut woodwork and minimalist detailing.
