Hauser & Wirth 69th Street - New York - Gallery Space - Selldorf Architects

This 8,800 square foot townhouse was provided with a new façade comprised of unfinished cement stucco juxtaposed with limestone trim at the doors and windows. Double-height windows and bronze railings accentuate the building’s verticality. The large storefront windows at the ground level welcome passersby and open seamlessly to provide a loading entrance for larger scale works of art. The interior contains perfectly proportioned flexible galleries. Daylight is provided via windows and an open skylit stair.
