We are thrilled to announce that the Musée Yves Saint Laurent Paris has engaged Selldorf Architects to lead the renovation of the museum, working alongside Paris-based Studio La Boétie. The architectural project will double the public exhibition space, open unprecedented access to iconic areas such as Pierre Bergé’s office and enhance the visitor experience for their growing audience. A new Documentation and Research Center will be created to preserve and promote the archives and documents related to the lives and work of Yves Saint Laurent and Pierre Bergé. It will provide researchers, historians, students, and fashion enthusiasts with special access to these exceptional resources. Through this transformation, the Foundation Pierre Bergé–Yves Saint Laurent reaffirms its commitment to preserving and promoting their legacy, while further establishing the Musée Yves Saint Laurent Paris as a major cultural institution.
Beginning May 5, 2025, the Musée Yves Saint Laurent in Paris will temporarily close for renovations and is scheduled to reopen in fall 2027.
