We are pleased to share that the Galerie Thaddeus Ropac, Ely House, located in London’s Mayfair district, opened April 28th. The historic Ely House was renovated by Selldorf Architects with Cowie Montgomery. The new gallery is five floors and over 16,000 sf with four distinct exhibition spaces. The design approach for Ely House is one of studied simplicity; new interventions and changes bring greater coherence and provide for a clearer reading of the strong and eloquent historic architecture.
The new Galerie Thaddaeus Ropac in London opened with a series of four exhibitions including Gilbert & George Drinking Pieces & Video Sculpture, a selection of sculpture and painting from the Marzona Collection, Sculpture and Early Drawings by Joseph Beuys, New Performance and Sculpture by Oliver Beer.
