Loft at Urban Glass House

New York, New York

This expansive loft space covers the top penthouse floor of the Urban Glass House—Philip Johnson’s final residential project for which Selldorf Architects designed the interiors. The open plan layout creates a serene flow of space which includes a double-sided fireplace linking the dining and living areas, further unifying the apartment.

With six bedrooms the scale is generous yet still intimate as a result of carefully coordinated furniture plans. A wrap-around 2,000 sf terrace provides views of the Hudson River and the lower Manhattan skyline. Full floor-to-ceiling windows enclose the space allowing maximum daylight from all sides.
