
Selldorf Architects has been selected to convert a former Studebaker Service Station in the Crown Heights neighborhood of Brooklyn into a mixed-use development. The 155,000 sf project wil provide office space for small businesses in addition to featuring space for cultural events and a food hall. More information from the New York Observer.

Annabelle Selldorf was recently named to Art + Auction's "Power 100". The list features 100 of the most influential people in the art world.

Construction is underway on the Sunset Park Materials Recycling Facility in Brooklyn. When complete this waterfront facility will process the majority of New York City’s metal, glass, and plastic recyclables, and will showcase some exciting sustainable design features such as a 100 kilowatt wind turbine and the largest application of solar panels in the City.
Construction on the project began in January of 2011 and is expected to finish in the fall of 2012. To date significant work has been completed on the foundation walls for the Bale Storage Building, and the footprints have been cleared for the Tipping Building and the Administration and Visitor Center. Pilings for the site are in place, and construction of the finger pier which supports the Tipping Building is ongoing. Click here for more images and information.

Selldorf Architects is designing a temporary structure for Frieze Masters, a new London-based art fair that will showcase art from antiquity through the year 2000. CNN recently profiled the project which opens next October in Regent’s Park.
